Chennai: Giving a clarion call to her party workers to strive hard for the success of the party in the ensuing Lok Sabha polls, chief minister Jayalalithaa asserted on Friday that her AIADMK party would secure all 40 seats in TN and Puducherry.
Solemnizing the marriages of the wards of party functionaries including housing minister R. Vaithilingam’s son Prabhu at the YMCA grounds here, she told party workers that she was able to become CM for the third time only due to her boldness and urged them to work for the AIADMK’s victory in the polls.
“How many conspiracies were hatched by evil forces to drive me out of politics? How many cases were foisted? How many threats and intimidations? I was able to become chief minister for the third time and do good to people as I took on these challenges with boldness,” she said.
Urging partymen to believe in themselves, the CM said they could tackle any problem if they nurtured self-confidence. Exuding confidence that her party would win all 40 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, she urged the cadres to work for the party’s victory in the Lok Sabha elections.
She also presided over the marriages of the wards of AIADMK’s Madurai North MLA, A.K .Bose and K.P. Sivasubramanian at the same venue.
