Hyderabad: The Telangana Rashtra Samiti, the TJAC and the BJP alleged that the Centre’s delay in completing the Telangana process was causing a rift among the people and the Seemandhra leaders, who are trying to stall it.
Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu’s letter to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, seeking to redress Seemandhra grievances were also criticised by them.
“Seemandhra money bags are behind the artificial agitation. The Chief Minister and Telugu Desam president are fanning trouble to escape from the issue. Let them come out with a solution if they have one,” said Prof Kodandaram, chairman of TJAC.
Making an appeal to Telangana people to be united, he said the Centre should speed up the process. “Bifurcation is inevitable. The Centre should give the Cabinet nod and pass the bill in the Parliament by extending the session,” he said while addressing a meeting organised by CPI ML New Democracy here.
Describing the Chief Minister as a rank opportunist, TRS deputy floor leader T. Harish Rao said, “A perturbed Naidu wrote three letters during the 30-day employees stir, but did not write a single letter when Telangana employees undertook the 42 sakala janula samme. Why,? he asked.
