Hyderabad: Dilshukhnagar twin blasts suspect Yasin Bhatkal has been arrested, but there is no end to the plight of bombing victims.
Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and Central heads had assured that government jobs will be provided to the eligible family members of those killed or the people who were permanently handicapped in the blasts. However, the promise is yet be to fulfilled.
Pandu Ranga Reddy, 21, a B. Tech graduate from Nalgonda district who lost his left eye and a leg in the bombings, is still waiting for the promised job. “In July, I visited the Ranga Reddy’s collector’s office, they (officials) asked me to produce a certificate signed by my mandal officer stating that no one in my family has a government job.
“I provided them the certificate. Then the authorities told me to check with the Nalgonda collector, when I did, the district officials told me that they have not received any orders. I have been after them since then there is no development.”
A similar case is with V. Rajith whose right left has been amputated. “I have completed my MBA... I want to work with I-T department. I was asked to approach the Nizamabad collector, but orders need to be passed by the Ranga Reddy collector’s office and that is been delayed.
