Rs 30L stolen from parked car

 Hyderabad: In a daring daylight robbery, four people came on two motorbikes, broke the window pane of a Skoda Octavia car and decamped with Rs 30 lakh at Ameerpet on Tuesday afternoon.

B. Sanjeev Reddy, the car owner had parked his vehicle opposite Big Bazaar and had gone to a private diagnostic centre with his wife at 3 pm. By the time he returned to the car, the offenders had fled with the money.

Eyewitnesses said that four people came on two Pulsar bikes and stop-ped next to the Octavia. Two pillion riders got off the bikes and one of them broke the car’s window. He then grabbed the money bag that was kept in the front seat.

“Sanjeev Reddy, who is a civil contractor, had withdrawn the money from ICICI Bank, SR Nagar branch. He had kept the bag carrying the money on his car’s front seat,” said Panjagutta detective inspector K. Sattaiah Yadav.

Police suspects that the burglars had followed the victim from the bank. “We suspect that the burglars were following him.When the victim parked his car, they waited at a distance, and broke the window when he left for the private clinic,” said the inspector.
