Return of Sushilkumar Shinde to speed up Telangana

DC | 4 hours 17 min ago

Hyderabad: Congress MPs Madhu Yashki and Ponnam Prabhakar on Wednesday, said the return of the Union home minister Sushilkumar Shinde, who was ill, will speed up the Telangana process.

Participating in ‘meet the press,’ organised by Telangana Journalists Forum here, Yashki and Prabhakar alleged that only a handful of Seemandhra leaders were trying to obstruct the T-process for their selfish ends.

They appealed to the Seemandhra leaders, and people not to obstruct the formation of Telangana as it could lead to serious repercussions. “The Congress has taken a decision on Telangana after much consultations,” said Yashki.

The two alleged that the Seemandhra leaders were pumping money in certain parts of the country to whip up regional sentiments, but it’s a futile exercise.

Both the MPs said Hyderabad would be part of Telangana and no force can separate it.

Prabhakar said the CWC decision was the ultimate, for all the Congressmen, and the Congress will not go back on Telangana.
