The West Indies Cricket Board has accepted the proposal to tour India during the month of November this year paving the way for legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar to play his 200th Test at home.

“The West Indies Cricket Board today confirmed that the West Indies team will tour India in November. The tour will include a two Test series and three oneday internationals.

“The WICB and the Board of Control for Cricket in India agreed to utilise the mutually available window in November for the tour,“ the WICB said in a statement on Wednesday .

Master blaster Tendulkar, who has represented the country in 198 Tests, was scheduled to reach the milestone during the South Africa tour but the powerful Indian board, with its differences with Cricket South Africa, squeezed in the series possibly to allow the 40-year-old complete the double in his own country .
