Hyderabad: Telangana ministers met Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy at the Secretariat on Saturday and requested him to cooperate in speeding up the process for the formation of Telangana state. Ministers K. Jana Reddy, D. Sridhar Babu, P. Sudarshan Reddy, D.K. Aruna, Sunita Laxma Reddy, B Saraiah met the CM.
The Telangana ministers reminded the CM that they had all announced earlier that they will abide by the high command’s decision on Telangana. However, the CM replied with a silent smile.
The Telangana ministers also requested the CM to take steps to call off the agitation taken by Seemandhra government employees opposing the state division. To that the CM replied, “No one expected such an agitation in Seemandhra.”
People have taken up the agitation on their own, even class -1 government employees are also joined the agitation.
After the meeting with the Chief Minister, Civil Supplies Minister D Sridhar Babu speaking to media said, that they have requested the Chief Minister to cooperate in speed up the process in the formation of Telangana state. He appealed the Seemandhra employees to call off their agitation. He assured after formation of Telangana state there will be no problem for their safety and to their job security.
Telangana leaders meeting on 28 Before meeting the Chief Minister the Telangana ministers met at Jana Reddy’s chamber and discussed latest political situation. They discussed to conduct the meetings in Telangana to thank the AICC President Sonia Gandhi for taking a decision to create separate Telangana state.
In the meeting various proposals came like public meetings at district head quarters which will be attended by all the Telangana Ministers, and village lever meetings. They decided to hold a meeting with Telangana Ministers, MLAs,.MLCs and party leaders on 28 August to finalize the programmes. Minister Sridhar Babu said, that they will conduct the celebrations in a big way latter, but now they are planning thanks giving meetings to Sonia Gandhi.
